70% self-taught, since 2002. My work history is in journalism and media, where I had access to the latest photography gear for review and work purposes. This sparked my interest in the hobby and since then I have enjoyed learning the technical aspects of it.
20% learned through mentors and professional work. I have assisted commercial photographers at weddings and events. I've also worked in motorsport, automotive, and product photography.
10% passion and skill. I genuinely enjoy the art of photography and feel that I have a knack for occasionally capturing a decent frame.
I exclusively use Fujifilm X cameras and lenses for my photo shoots and prints, but expensive gear doesn't make great photos. The best camera is always the one you have on you - so the occasional snap can come from an iPhone or drone.
